Chicken Pasta Student StyleIt is a common saying in the student world: ‘Yeah, but I can eat anything and stay thin’. Well, that might be the case, but it is not always a healthy habit to eat for example junk food. Pasta can fit well into that niche, is mostly low fat and contains fresh ingredients. Most students are mostly in a lot of hurry running from class, to parties and homework… Where is the time to eat, or even eat healthy? This is where we hop in with our first of a series of easy pasta recipes for students.

The pasta you are about to prepare contains chicken, which is indeed very low fat. You will find the recipe for ‘Chicken Pasta’ very easy to prepare, so under 30 minutes. Now start cooking before you even lose more time!

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless chicken breasts
  • 400g tagliatelle pasta
  • 2 tins of tomatos in juice
  • 1 onion
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 teaspoon mixed herbs
  • Cook time: Under 30 minutes

Who said preparing a nice pasta would be difficult? All you need to do is cook the pasta properly in boiling water, usually this is until it is soft and tender. Need some advice on cooking pasta, watch the videos in our section 'how to cook pasta'. The next step will be to cook the chicken, afterwards cutting it into small chunks. Watch out when cooking the chicken, rather don't touch the raw chicken with your bare hands. Instead for example use two forks to put the chicken in the pan. Also make sure the pan is hot, to indicate look if the butter gets a brownish color and the bubbles are a bit gone.

Put the cutted chicken into a pan and afterwards add the tomatos in juice to it. Peel and chop the unions and crush the garlic. When you are done, add it to the pan as well. Season your chicken pasta with some mixed herbs and serve out equally.
